Third Day: EFFECTIVE PRAYER Prayer: St. Peregrine, you always prayed with your eyes looking at the sky, beholding always our Blessed Lady, help me to remember the words of Jesus that in prayer I will find peace. Fourth Day: TRUST OF FAITH Prayer: St. Peregrine, you trusted in God so completely and used well the gift He gave you to heal His people, help me to trust God completely as did the centurion. Fifth Day: SERVICE Prayer: St. Peregrine, you saw Jesus each day in the arms of the Blessed Lady, and gave your life for the service of Jesus in all things, help me to do the same. Peter's mother in-law sought to serve Jesus. Help me use my body for the service of Jesus, let my suffering serve to save souls. Sixth Day: TOOK OUR SICKNESS Prayer: St. Peregrine, you took upon yourself the cross of Jesus on this earth, help me to learn how to carry my cross of illness. Never let me give in to the temptations of the devil and give up. Instead let me see that my illness can be the way to save others from their ills. Ninth Day: TWO BLIND MEN FOLLOWED HIM Scripture Reading: "As Jesus went on his way two blind men followed him shouting. "Take pity on us, Son of David." And when Jesus reached the house the blind men came up with him and he said to them, "Do you believe I can do this?" They said "Sir we do." Matthew 9:27-28 Prayer: St. Peregrine, you obeyed your superior or even when the task was difficult, help me not to be blind to the will of God in this hour of trial.
