PRAYER TO ST. PEREGRINE
O great St. Peregrine, you have been called "The Mighty," "The Wonder-Worker," because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you. For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.
Pause here and silently recall the names of the sick for whom you are praying.
Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy. Amen.
PRAYER FOR THE SICK AND THE DYING
Father of Love and Mercy, You miraculously cured Saint Peregrine of an advanced cancer of his foot when the power of man could do more. You favored him with the vision of Jesus coming down from His cross to heal his affliction.
Hear the prayers we offer, through the intercession of Saint Peregrine, for the cure of the sick and dying whom we entrusted to You.
Pause here and silently recall the names of those for whom you are praying.
May all who suffer pain, illness, or disease know that You are with them even in the depths of despair. Enable them to see Your plan and bring them closer to Your Son who accepted our suffering to teach us the virtues of meekness and patience as we carry our crosses through life.
PRAYER TO ST. PEREGRINE
O God, in St. Peregrine you gave us an outstanding example of faith and patience. We humbly ask you that by imitating and by the help of his prayers, we believe more fully in your healing help, bear the suffering of this life without wavering, and come with joy to the peace of heaven. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.

O God, who gave to St. Peregrine an Angel for his compassion, the Mother of God for his Teacher, and Jesus as the Physician of his malady, grant we beseech thee through his merits that we may on earth intensely love our Holy Angel, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and our Savior, and in Him bless them forever. Grant that we may receive the favor which we now petition. We ask this through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

PRAYER FOR THE CONQUEST OF CANCER
Our Lord, in whose hands are the issues of life and death, we thank you that you are a God of Love. From the gift of our lives to the moment we return to you, we are in your loving care. We turn to you in times of joys and times of pain. We are concerned for those in pain, those who suffer from cancer, and for those who care from them.
Bless we pray, those who minister to the victims of this dread disease. Give them skill and knowledge that cures may be wrought. Give we pray, a discovery of the cure of cancer and knowledge of how to prevent it. Increase we pray, your ministry of healing through all who labor in research and the health professions. That one day we may rejoice in a world free from the scourge of cancer in which all may live out their span of life in useful service to you and your children. To You we shall give praise. Amen
A PRAYER FOR ANOTHER WHO HAS CANCER
Dear Lord, I beg you to help (name of person who is afflicted with cancer). I love him/her so much I find it very difficult to watch him/her suffering. As you cured St. Peregrine of a terrible malignancy, I ask you to cure his/her illness. Please relieve his/her pain and guide the doctors in his/her care. Give him/her the strength to bear whatever is to come according to Your holy will, Dear Lord.
I ask that you give me the patience and the wisdom to comfort him/her as best I am able. Help me to face the uncertainty of the future. I ask that you bless him/her with the knowledge of Your love, Dear Lord, and with the warmth and caring of all of us who bear this burden with him/her. Amen
A PRAYER FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS CANCER
This is such a difficult time for me, Dear Lord...the discomfort and pain...the endless medical care...the poking and prodding of doctors until at times I don't seem to have control of my own body any longer. I know that medical treatment for cancer has advanced and yet I am fearful, Dear Lord. I want to live with death will come eternal life with You and the Blessed Mother in Heaven.
Please comfort me in my affliction, Dear Lord, and give me the strength to not only bear my sickness, but also to comfort my loved ones in their distress. As you cured St. Peregrine of a terrible malignancy, I ask you to give me the peace of acceptance of Your will.
Help me to live each day...each hours...as fully as possible...with confidence in the future...whatever it might bring. I ask that You sustain me in my Faith and that You give me the grace to live always according to your holy Gospel.
NOVENA OF CONFIDENCE
Lord Jesus Christ, to Your most Sacred Heart I confide this intention: (Mention your request) Only look upon me, then do what Your Heart inspires. I count on It. I trust in It. I throw myself on Its mercy. Sacred Heart of Jesus, You will not fail me!
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You! Sacred Heart of Jesus, I believe in Your love for me! Sacred Heart of Jesus, Your kingdom come! Sacred Heart of Jesus, I have asked You for many favors, but I earnestly implore this one. Take it, place it in Your open, broken Heart, and when the Eternal Father looks upon it, covered with Your Precious Blood, He will not refuse it. It will be no longer my prayer, your Yours, O Jesus.
I ask this favor through the intercession of Your Blessed Mother, the comforter of the afflicted and the health of the sick, and also of St. Peregrine, the patron of cancer patients. If it be God's holy will, hear my prayers, O Sacred Heart of Jesus. Amen.
